Life in a Château

When you visit the Loire Châteaux, the sights to see are breathtakingly beautiful: royal chambers and canopy beds, ancient furniture and tapestries, fine staircases and period fireplaces, little towers… Does life in a Château tempt you? You can play at being lord and lady of the manor for an evening, a weekend or more. Stay in a hotel, a guest room in a Château or in an authentic restored home and sleep like a prince or princess. Do you feel like relaxing and being pampered in a spacious environment? Sumptuous accommodation awaits you in the Loire Valley Region. All you have to do is choose which of these private homes is the destination of your dreams.

Château de Coligny
Le Château d Esclimont

Stately homes steeped in history

In Berry, enthusiasts of history, literature and peace and quiet will find the perfect place for them. Château de La Verrerie, built by the Stuarts of Scotland in the 16th century, is a stop-off on the Route Jacques Cœur. Twelve rooms with refined décor await you in this Scottish enclave between Sologne and Berry, not far from the birthplace of Alain-Fournier. A little further south, the seven welcoming rooms in Orsan Priory offer peace and quiet in the setting of a medieval-style garden. In the Indre, Château de la Vallée Bleue, the former property of George Sand's doctor, has wonderfully comfortable rooms: a romantic break is guaranteed in the Noire Valley the novelist loved so much.
