A key centre of Christianity in medieval Europe, Notre-Dame Cathedral in Chartres is an exceptional example of the religious art of the 12th and 13th centuries. Its nine sculpted doorways and 176 stained-glass windows, all in outstanding condition, provide a set of images like no other in the world, a reflection of the spiritual thinking and artistic expression of the times. Listed as World Heritage in 1979, Chartres Cathedral is a must-see example of Gothic architecture in France and Europe.

Messes dominicales le samedi à 18h et le dimanche à 9h15 en latin, à 11h. En semaine le mardi et le vendredi à 9h, du lundi au samedi à 11h45 et du lundi au vendredi à 18h15. Visites guidées du 01/04 au 31/10 à 10h30 du mardi au samedi et à 15h00 tous les jours et du 01/11 au 31/03 tous les jours à 14h30. Messe du dimanche le soir. D'avril à octobre, vêpres à 17h45, messe à 18h30. De novembre à mars, vêpres à 17h45, messe à 18h00. Visites guidées non assurées en cas de célébrations religieuses.
